Aren't jet engines similar to hair dryers? They both suck in air, compress it and heat it before propelling it backward. Its just that the thrust produced by a hairdryer is only sufficient to dry your hair, and thrust produced by a jet engine can throw a fully loaded plane into the sky... Of cause, jet engines burn jet fuel, and I believe most hair dryers on earth run on electricity. |
